Mastering

Mastering is the last step in producing a song.

At this stage, the recordings of the songs, in LR (2.0), which were generated at the end of the mixing are listened through a full range and flat monitoring system, in a room suitable for professional critical listening, and are then edited to sound the best possible and compiled into a coherent sequence, both musically and sonically, that is within the technical standards of the media in which they will be released.

Read the instructions below on how to submit your tracks for mastering.

How do I deliver my files for mastering?

Mixes must be delivered in .wav or .aiff, at the same sample rate and bit depth at which the files were generated, and then compressed into a single .zip file to ensure they are not corrupted during transfer.

The .zip file name must contain the band name, sample rate and bit depth of the mixes. If there are mixes in different resolutions, the sample rate and bit depth must be informed in the title of each track to be mastered.

Files can be sent via Wetransfer or Google Drive.

What is done in mastering

1. The order of the songs is chosen - you can predetermine it or we can set it together.

2. The frequency balance, frequency range and perceived loudness of each song and the collection as a whole are defined, according to customer references and music genre standards.

3. Each song is processed to sound as good as possible and meet set parameters.

4. Fade ins and fade outs are made, ensuring a natural transition between songs and in accordance with the rhythm of the collection (EP or Album).

5. The masters are generated in high quality and, if necessary, will be adapted to other specific formats such as CD (DDP master) or vinyl.

6. A quality control hearing is carried out. The final files generated during mastering are heard from start to finish.

7. Receive tracks back for approval and feedback. If necessary, the first review will be carried out at no additional cost!

8. Receive your masters in high quality, mp3 version and for specific media.
